POSITION 1: PRODUCT ENGINEER/SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
NuVeda is searching for an experienced web savvy, talented, highly
motivated, focused, process oriented and successful Product engineer
to join our team.
We need a candidate who has strong programming skills, can work in
Agile environments and
who is competent with MVC design patterns and Perl.
It is alright if the candidate does not know perl but is very
competent n any other language, OO principles and design patterns.
We require candidates who have contributed actual code to at least 1
open source project. This ensures that the candidate is good at
collaboration, documentation, systematically versions code and adheres
to standards.
No. of openings: 1
Min Exp: 1.5 yrs
Max exp: 5+ yrs
Qualifications required:
· Excellent programming skills (PHP, Perl or Java)
· Worked with MVC frameworks(Ruby or Catalyst)
· Good understanding of Web technologies(HTTP,Apache, MySQL)
· Good understanding of Web standards(JSON, XML, REST)
· Comfortable with Unix/Linux environment(ssh,rsync,tar)
· Comfortable with Version Control system (preferably GIT)
· Adaptable to rapid changes in development environment
· Can use new tools/technolgies with ease
· Aware of new and upcoming technologies(HTML 5 Vs FLASH)
· Demonstrable use of open technologies in consumer applications.
· Amazon EC2 or other Enterprise Cloud hosting services
POSITION 2: SERVER ADMIN

Min exp: 3 – 5 years.
TYPE OF OPENING: CONSULTANT/PART TIME
Job Responsibility:
- Improve Catalyst hosting environment’s performance parameters to
meet acceptable response time standards
- Set up tools for monitoring web server’s operation
- Improve MySQL performance to meet acceptable standards.
- Suggest solutions for efficient Database scaling
- Migration of database to a different DBMS engine if required

• Security Backup and restoration,
• Code versioning,
