Linux Professional
at Vaaraahi Embedded in Coimbatore
Dear All
We "Vaaraahi Embedded" (www.vaaraahi.com), based at Coimbatore are a leading player in the manufacture of Bus Ticketing machines, Hand held terminals and Embedded Medical gadgets. We manufacture products based on Atmel and TI based SoC.
We have the following immediate openings for the following separate jobs:-
1. SysAdmin for Embedded
Linux Professionals with a flair for System Adminstration and Network Administration . Main Job would be to setup Linux boxes (preferably Debian and Gentoo) for embedded cross compilation . Additional responsibilities will include installing and maintaining Linux Severs (Apache,DNS,Samba,Iptables etc), setting up version control systems GIT/SVN/CVS , Network trouble shooting and all the general task of System/Network Admins. An experience of at least 2 years is preferred.
Candidates good at System Admin/Network Admin but without embedded exposure may be considered for trainee posts.
Specialised Jobs:-
2. Qt Professional
Qt 4.6.x Application developers for Linux with an experience at least 2 years of hard core of Qt coding in C++ for any platform (PC or embedded).
3. Java Professional
Java developers on Linux with focus on embedded Targets (Linux/Android OS) ,with experience of at least 3 years.
4. Kernel Developer for Embedded
Linux professionals with at least 3 years' experience in programming/Porting embedded Gadgets ( preferably ATMEL and TI based ) and Micro controllers to Linux or BSD OSes . Preference for candidates proficient in uclibc fundamentals. Desirable to have exposure to Android platform. Should be proficient in C language and Arm Assembly. Experience in modification of kernel code suited to the SOC and custom peripherals (I2C,SPI,USB protocols).
Candidates who have a long association and interaction with the LUGs and allied activities have an edge over others.
