Opening: Lead Systems/Network Admin (Lead Operations Engineer)
at Efficient Frontier in Chennai
Role: Senior/Lead Operations Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain large production infrastructure involving pyton/java
applications and postgres/oracle dbs as part of the 24/7 on-call team
- Monitor and maintain product deployments in production hosting
environment
- Monitor and support developement, qa infrastructures
- Troubleshoot product and customer issues
- Local Systems and Network and IT Management
- Manage IT Vendor Relations
- Define, follow, and enhance Operations processes
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Linux including configuration, shell, file system,
cron, etc. a must
- 3+ years of programming/scripting experience in Python, Perl or similar
language
- 2+ years of SQL and database experience atleast with one of these
databases - mysql, postgres, oracle etc.
- Strong knowledge of Internet, Networks and Web technologies (TCP/IP, HTML,
DHCP, DNS, HTTP, cookies, email, web servers, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to effectively multi-task, prioritize and delegate work, and
be detail oriented
- Leadership qualities
- BE/BS in computer related field a must
- Must be on call 24x7, in case operational issues arise
