Associate/ System Administrator Linux @ Hyderabad-Fulltime

This is with reference to your resume. We have an urgent opening for Associate/ System Administrator - Linux with one of our MNC client at Hyderabad.
Position: Associate/ System Administrator - Linux
Location: Hyderabad
Duration: Fulltime

Qualification: Any Bachelors degree/PG in computer science
Department: Infrastructure and Support
Experience: 2 - 4 years
Profile:
- Good knowledge of overall infrastructure technical knowledge & troubleshooting methodologies in Linux, preferably Red Hat
- Basic knowledge of different server configurations in Linux, e.g. Samba, NIS, FTP.
- Good communication skills in English (spoken & written)
- Open to work in shifts and weekends
- RHCE Certified
- BASH Shell scripting
- Knowledge of IT monitoring software that is typically used in the industry
- Basic knowledge on backup and storage technologies, e.g. netbackup
- Basic knowledge of SAN
Job Description:
- Perform daily system monitoring of Linux environment
- Handle Level1 and Level 2 operational tasks
- Identify, analyze and troubleshoot issues in the IT infrastructure systems/components related to Linux
- Coordinate and communicate with various parties involved in incident handling
- Escalate technical issues to the respective teams and also ensure proper communication to all the persons involved
- Plan and deploy enterprise-wide OS/application patches and upgrades on regular basis
- Maintain & operate the Linux infrastructure environment as per procedures
- Execute the implementation steps of a project as per laid down plan
- Work closely with team members to manage work flow and communication
- Maintain proper documentation to ensure compliance with the established processes, and procedures
