Tech Lead/ Senior Software Engineer

Job Description:

• Product Delivery – Own the delivery, maintenance and operations of the
  software products and related artifacts.
• Mentor and lead a high performance team of software engineers.
• Selecting the right platform / technology / architecture / design
  based on the business value (features) and technical tradeoffs governing
  NFRs.
• Hands-on programming / pairing for more than 65% of the time in an
  agile / XP setup.
• Add value to the organization by giving relevant inputs to
  stakeholders including but not limited to Product Development, Service
  Delivery, User Experience, Pre-Sales etc.
• Possess the conviction to do the right thing under all circumstances
  and a commitment to the action.
• Must be a team player, who respects individuals and builds
  accountability in a group
• Should have the courage to view challenges and opportunities in a new
  light and be able to execute fearless action with a high-commitment to
  excellence.
• Should have the curiosity and openness to learn new technology.

Educational Qualification:

• Relevant engineering degree is a plus
• Consistent and high academic performance is an added advantage
  Work Experience: 7+ years of experience in a fast paced, technical
  environment

Skills:

• Hands on experience / ability in delivery of web based JAVA, J2EE,
  Javascript products
• Excellent understanding of Unix / Linux
• Excellent logical reasoning skills – ability to understand / manage
  tradeoffs
• Relevant experience on Networking, Async IO, Multi-threading, ReST and
  ORM (Hibernate).
• Expertise on OOPS, Refactoring, Design Patterns, Web applications and
  related frameworks, Web 2.0, RIA and Usability
• Strong understanding of data structures and RDBMS concepts (indexing /
  partitioning).
• Hands-on programming / test driven development (TDD) / Continuous
  Integration – ability to thrive in an XP environment.
• Strong communication skills (written / verbal) and excellent team
  player
• Process oriented with a bias towards automation.

Preferred:

• Agile development methodologies
• Expertise on Dojo / JQuery / Maven / Lucene
• Conversant with the changing technical landscape / trends and ability
  to translate these into value for the organization
