Openings for web developers in Bangalore (Php, Python)

Pothi.com is a Bangalore based startup in the field of publishing. We
are the leading Self-Publishing portal and Print-on-Demand provider
for books.
Just like Music industry, publishing is also seeing a great amount of
destruction and innovation world-wide and technology is playing a
major role in that - making the book preparation and storage more
efficient, making the content usable across variety of different media
formats, creating tools to make consuming book content as readily
available and consumable as the other content on the web is. We
believe that open standards and good implementations of those are keys
to a successful future.
We are currently looking for people having experience with one or more
of Python, Php, Django, Drupal etc. Having exposure to XML, ebook
technologies, PDF handling (Reportlab, Apache-FOP) is an added
advantage. If you have understand them and used them - it is good. If
you help out in forums, answer questions and evangelize - it is
better. If you provide patches (we do) and maintain something - we
already want you :). Please note that we are looking for programming
experience and not job experience. So even freshers with strong
backgrounds are welcome.
We are a very small team but we intend to lead from the front in
technical innovation in our domain. For somebody with a hacker
mindset, there will be ample opportunities and freedom to hone and
apply his skills. If before jumping in full-time, you want to show us
a trailer of your abilities, we are also looking for interns (minimum
3 months).
