The QA/Automation Engineer will be responsible for assessing the quality of IronPort’s Appliances and optimizing the test effort by designing and implementing reliable and robust automation framework that is conducive to efficient testcase automation. He will be responsible for creating the product interface libraries by understanding the product automation requirements. He will be required to obtain or create the necessary tools to facilitate his responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have experience in a time-to-market sensitive environment, and will be adept at risk assessment and test prioritization. Candidate will be an independent self-starter who can multi-task across projects and effectively organize under tight deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities:

Work closely with a cross functional team to understand and evaluate the test requirements
Review and provide feedback on requirements and test documents
Design and enhance the automation framework which is platform independent and extensible
Design product interface libraries for product specific automation
Create automated test suites

Required Experience and Skills:

Experience with any dynamic programming language (Python, Ruby,
lisp, scheme, PERL, tcl, …)
Experience with automated test and continuous integration
Writing automated integration testcases
UNIX programming
Knowledge of email protocol (SMTP, DLP, Hosted and Networking)
Experience with J2EE applications
Experience with HTML, XML, XSL and related web technologies
