Job overview:
We are looking for a web designer to work with our clients on projects involving the creation of dynamic and static websites. Currently, we typically create the core functionality, features and server-side pieces for clients and are looking for a solid web designer to augment our offering in order to provide an end-to-end solution to our clients.
Job responsibilities:
Responsibilities include designing wireframes, mockups, page layouts, content formation, CSS creation, using Photoshop to create high quality images, design custom graphics, understanding and working with HTML & JavaScript open source libraries
Skill sets required:
• Excellent aesthetic sense to be able to create visually pleasing and effective websites.
• Solid experience with CSS creation.
• In-depth knowledge of Photoshop; must have considerable ability to design custom graphics.
• Good knowledge of HTML, browser differences, various quirks/tweaks/hacks common to web designing.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and experience with JS libraries a big plus.
• Knowledge of Adobe Flash, Action Script highly preferred.
• Exposure to open-source projects, specifically open source java script libraries, is a big plus
• Understand web techniques (HTML forms, client & server side technologies) and have experience with designing web2.0 websites.
• Having portfolio of prior work for reference is a must.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a web designer.
