Skill Expectation: MYSQL DBA in a LAMP environment working with Centos/ Fedora/ RedHat

JD for the position: MYSQL – DBA.

• Deep understanding of MySQL replication
• Understand the storage engine architecture and be able to recommend different engines
• Performance aspects of the different storage engines and how to tune them.
• Provide support to the operations team to develop monitoring
• Help developers with query optimization
• Schema design and optimization
• Backup strategies and backup verification
• Identify and recommend tools and services for managing database infrastructure
• Hardware sizing requirements for database loads based on efficient use of multi-core systems
• Update and tune MySQL instances in a high volume environment
• Linux performance experience
• MySQL replication (Master-Master, Master-Slave, cluster replication)
• Solid knowledge of physical and logical database design
• Solid knowledge in schema design principals with demonstrated aptitude to apply best practices for scalable designs and influence developers
• Provide 24/7 support for critical situations
• SHELL Scripting

• At least 3+ years as a specific MYSQL DBA in a LAMP environment working with Centos/ Fedora/ RedHat
