R developer cum Systems Administrator
at National Institute of Public Finance and Policy in Delhi
There is a requirement for an 'R' developer cum systems administrator at
National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (http://www.nipfp.org.in/),
New Delhi.
Requirements:
- Linux System Administration (experienced)
- Version Control (SVN)
- Shell Scripting
- Makefile
- LaTeX (a plus)
- R statistical language (an added advantage, but has to learn later in any case)
Responsibilities include maintaining the current hardware/software systems (on Linux systems, Apache, MySQL etc.),
designing/implementing new systems (which will include R, shell, other surrounding utilities). Primary task will be to develop packages in R which the team requires, and then release them in the open source community.
And most importantly enthusiasm to take on new challenges, open to new ideas and suggestions and should be eager to learn new things.
