He has established the Kumar Malavalli Endowed Chair in Storage Systems Research at UC Santa Cruz

Prior experience in designing and implementing kernel modules/Drivers in either one of the operating systems Solaris, AIX, HP – UX, LINUX

• Good C Programming skill [Must]

• Prior development (no maintenance) experience on OS Kernels on Linux or UNIX (Solaris, AIX, HP –UX)[Must]

• Prior development experience in File Systems, Volume Manager, Block Drivers [Must]

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills [Must]

• Specific experience on SCSI/FC subsystems, target mode drivers [Desirable]

• Should have used debugging tools like KDB, KGDB, Crash and KDump

• Strong orientation towards software engineering principles

• Experience in scalability and performance tuning [Desirable]
